I have to show you some of my favorite Golden Goose styles. I know they are really pricey but I truly love them and they’re so worth it. Although they are a heavier sneaker they are so comfortable and you can wear them all year round.
Golden Goose – Superstar Suede
Golden Goose is a great place to look for unique, one of a kind styles. I’ve never come across a yellow sneaker that I actually loved but I would so wear these!
Golden Goose – Distressed Jersey
Golden Goose – Leather and Mesh
Golden Goose are honestly the only sneaker that I love that has a thick sole. Most times I hate a thick sole because it makes my feet look larger than they actually are. Yet, they somehow make the shoe in a way that makes your foot look super cute and much smaller which is my favorite thing ever!
With most American shoes there is always a thick sole. However, if you search for the same brand such as Adidas or Puma in Europe, they have thin sole styles which I will obviously prefer.
A lot of times I also prefer men’s sneakers, I love high tops and they have more choices in the men’s section. It can get a bit tricky with sizes because most times they don’t have a small enough size for me or they sell out quickly because that’s not a popular size so they don’t order as many of them. This never stops me though and I always search online to see if I can get my hands on a pair. The Plimcana are a perfect example of this. I love the high top aspect with the thin sole. This style is my favorite in black as well as in grey.
I’ll tell you right now the Puma Glyde is not an easy sneaker to find. I got a pair of red ones about 4 years ago, randomly at a Foot Locker they had one pair left and they happened to be in my size. Since then I’ve been wanting to find more colors, especially this light grey suede, and it’s been very difficult. I still wanted to show you this pair in this post because if you end up loving them as much as I do I know you’ll do the research!
I found this brand, MINE, recently that I believe is mainly in Japan but they have amazing thin soled sneakers. This bird cutout style was my favorite, it also comes in a light pink. I think this pair would be so cool with some distressed denim and a leather jacket for the upcoming fall. They are a bit pricey and I’ve never personally owned a pair myself so I can’t vouch for the comfort however I’m definitely gonna try to see if I can find this brand in the U.S. to try out for you guys!
We all know about Converse but I only love the Dainty style. As you can see the sole is much smaller than the classic style. I have these sneakers personally and they go with everything. I especially love wearing them with a girly outfit like a short summer dress to give the look a bit more edge. You have to do some research as well with this pair and see where you can find not only your size but the best price available. I purchased mine a few months ago from Spartoo and they were a great company to order from. I paid around $80 when other sites had them for almost a $100.
The Nike wedges are the only sneaker wedge trend that I still love other than the original Isabel Marant’s. This is a heavier sneaker so you may be a bit warm wearing it in the summer months however, during the dead winter when it’s raining, snowing, and freezing outside, these are my go-to shoes.
This is the exact pair I own, the all black leather. When it’s really snowing and raining out I always put these on. Because of the wedge inside the sole is so thick it keeps you warm, on top of the fact that they’re all leather. I’m always cold during the winter here in the city especially in my feet but I’ve never been cold in these shoes. I really recommend them for the fall/winter. The great thing about this exact style is that they’re so easy to clean since it’s black and leather, any dirt comes right off with just some water. I’ve had mine for over three years now and they look brand new!
