Mixing Textures
I especially love mixing denim with different textures such as a faux leather. This skirt I purchased last winter at H&M but they always have great faux leather pieces all year round. A lot of times people ask me,

They struggle once it’s time to get dressed what should be worn with what piece, they really just rely on what looks retail stores have put together for them but don’t know how to mix it up themselves.
My advice is pick one piece and work around that.
It’s really easy to open your closet and get intimidated by choosing an outfit that you have to wear especially for a special occasion. I always say pick one piece whether it be a skirt or a jacket, even a pair of your favorite jeans, and work around that. That way you can start somewhere where it’s easier to add pieces to complete the look. Another piece of advice that I give, especially to the guys, is when in doubt, always go simple. That is the most important thing! A simple classic look will never be out of style and will always make you feel like you look great in whatever you have on. And what’s more important that feeling great in how you look right?!
